Will you say that 10 years from now? You are in what I call the "honeymoon" phase. We all know what that's like, we want to ride no matter what. Once she's broke in, it will be like...."aw...it's friken cold out, I think I'll wait for it to warm up next week."

I rode 29,000km on a bike I’d owned for 5 years at that point last season. 15-20K/year the season before.

I think I’m ok.

I’m actually behind last season already at this point in time because there’s been less friends (and destinations) to ride with due to this Covid debacle.

They struggle to forecast tomorrow at this point. Looking at forecasts 2-3 weeks from now is like believing in the tooth fairy.

The only certainty is it will warm up as the seasons change. Beyond that...darts at a dartboard.

Which was forecasted to be a "brutal, cold, snowy" winter.

This is why I don't give much credence to anything forecast related much beyond 24-48 hours. At that point system weather can be reasonably reliably forecasted, but until the 12-24 hour window approaches even then theres still much interpretation happening.

Theres a reason aviation forecasts are only issued for 24 hour periods. They need to be good...not guesses.
