Why don't they wave back?

Just wave at everybody, who cares. If they don't wave back, it's them being the arsebag, not you.

I just wave at everyone. Hate it when I don't see the other person until it's too late to wave, especially when you notice that they waved :(

I tried waving my whole GSXR1100 once in the form of a tank slapper. I was too busy to notice if another bike waved back.

Install wave rotors. Problem solved.

I even wave through corners, is that dangerous?

Exactly, I wave at everybody on a bike (heck even waived at a cop once and he waived back LOL)...I couldn't care less if they wave back.

I wave when I'm paying attention. But, I don't pay attention very much and riding a HD affords me that privilege.

I'm too busy making vroom vroom sounds and looking bad ass.

I rarely wave, and never in the city.

"Hey you with the same broad category of vehicle as mine, I salute your superior taste."

Feels silly.

I wave like nobody's watching.

This whole thread is the reason why I'm done waving at everyone

And so disappears a little more of the camaraderie amongst all riders.

Oh please.

I suspected you'd feel that way.

When I rode regularly back in the early 90's EVERYONE waved to each other. Hell, even most of the Harley guys would have back to me, and I was riding a sport bike back then. Now, not so much. I still wave to everyone anyways, see my last response for my justification.

I've only been riding 16 years. Real comradery is checking on the biker on the side of the road. Taps on the helmet to warn of the police trap. Maybe hitting up a chat at the local popular bike stop.

But waving at every freaking person on a bike as they ride by? Yeah, maybe when it was few are far between seeing another bikers I see it. Now everyone and their cousin rides. Nothing I'd call a private club. You have a bike, I have a bike. Ok.

Two bikers toe to toe 2016.

The cost of insurance is keeping my hands on the bars.

I still admire and respect any fellow rider still out there.

Waving is so nineteen ninty four anyways.

Let's just take stock there is a smile beneath the helmet of any rider.

Maybe buy them an ice cream one in a while. Even the diabetic riders.

Mainly HD guys like myself.

I wave 99% of the time, and probably get waved back around 75%. Oddly enough, I noticed more people waved back when I had my little red CBR250RA then they do my silver CBR650F. Not sure why that is.
