Why do Motorcycle accidents happen? new rider inquiry

hi guys and girls

im a new rider in the gta and i'd like to have a long and accident free riding life #bikelife.

the question i want to know is what causces most motorcycle accidents to happen?

are drivers not accustomed to bikes on the road? is speed a lustful temptation? ttc tracks too slippery?

please chime in, i'd like to learn from everyone's experience so i can be a safe rider. chuuch

Usually two types of accidents happen in GTA.

1. Single vehicle accident, which are usually caused by rider error or misjudgement. This can include, going too fast through a corner and losing control, going over gravel and lowsiding, etc.

2. Accidents involving another vehicle, this includes drivers not seeing the rider and hitting them, riders riding agreesively swerving left and right between cars, etc.

There are also other types of accidents but they are generally not very common in the GTA.

The best way to avoid accidents is to just ride safe and be visible.

Just be careful going through intersections and passing driveways.

make yourself visible to drivers at all possible which includes not riding in driver's blind spot. Watch out for left turners/cars at intersection which means physically attempting to make yourself as noticeable to the left turners/cars as possible which I'll leave up to your discretion and experience. Some techniques are swerving within your lanes, slowing down a bit and covering your brakes but you'll figure out what works best for you as you gain more riding experience and learning from other riders.

Don't speed it doesn't give other drivers enough time to react and see you on the road.

Besides checking your mirrors constantly make it a habit to physically look back before you lane change. Your head is like a turn signal giving drivers warning than you're up to something.

And always ask other riders question. No question is stupid if not asked. Riding is a constant learning hobby.

Why dont you have an escape route in the first place?

1. You dont give yourself one
2. A driver blocks the only escape route.

Agreed, but it could prevent the accident 9 times out of 10 for either #1 or #2. Thus not having one in the end turns what could have been a close call into an accident.
