Go for it. It's a great circuit.
I like late Feb because you're more likely to get good weather at that time of year. Any earlier and it's a gamble.
We usually stay in Valdosta, GA. Lots of hotels and food available there.
Be sure to say hi to Jenny the little gator in the pond at the track entrance!

Con- have to buy extra medical insurance
A group of us go every year. The weather is not or miss so sign up for all the days.
Check and triple check your US travel insurance, it usually doesn't cover riding the track in the US. Also, get a Y38 customs form to ensure you're not stopped at the border coming back into Canada.
