Yamaha
Wheels look nicer, exhaust looks nicer, and the rear fender looks much easier/cheaper to replace. And as far as nakeds are concerned, it's more naked.

I know, Mike, but I'm definitely a 20th century kind of guy. Still making photographs with film, for heaven's sake. B&W at that.

I don't mind naked bikes, I just don't do ugly. That being said, who cares what others think, your the one that's going to have to live with it. Pick the one that speaks to you.
 
i just saw the honda today at rock the red and its a pretty sweet looking bike

that picture isnt all that great

i still prefer the yamaha
 
The Honda looks much better.

I don't like the dropped-alien-bug-eye headlight on the Yamaha, the rear frame (above the swingarm pivot) and front tubular engine mount are totally different from each other, and the paint/decal scheme is disjointed/doesn't-flow.

Honda does a good job of disguising the ugly bits with plastic and the paint and decal scheme is well coordinated. The muffler is proportional to the rest of the bike.
 
Well, the Yamaha looks better and performs WAY better so it's an obvious decision. For a small beginner bike the FZ-07 has a ton of torque. First two gears had me shocked. Wish it came out when I was a newbie.

Honda has always used plastic to save money. More plastic means less efforts required on parts hidden by plastic. IMO, this is pretty much what cars are like.
 
I prefer the Honda for presentation especially the highlighted cover screws. Classy touch. Yamaha specs out better but looks too busy. The exhaust on both look like necessary evil, so it's a wash there. I'll be on standby for further discussion if needed.
