Where to find 1157 Red Incandescent bulb?

I'm trying to find a 1157 red filament bulb for my rear tail light.
Seems like the clear alternatives LED board and most LED red bulbs aren't that bright..
Local shops only carry white and amber, anyone know where to find red ones?

^ +1 w/ Brian, Ive used these guys in the past and the LEDs I bought from them two years ago still shine super bright, they also have LEDs to change the colour of your gauges. When I had to replace my tailights I had the same problem, but Cycleworld Sheppard/Brimley had the 1157 bulbs in a red LED, give em a call and see :)

There aren't any DOT approved 1157 red incandescent bulbs. The red is supposed to be produced by the lens and housing. Why do you need a red bulb?

If you want a bright LED-replacement for an 1157, these are pretty good but not cheap http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-...&category=CAR&Page2Disp=/specs/115x-x45-T.htm
I thought it was the other way around with LED`s, the red is produced from the bulb, not the lens, so you would need a red bulb for a brake light, and orange bulbs for the signals. Anybody else know about LED`s. I know for sure that they are very directional.

Those round LED clusters are useless to what I ran before. Mine is a 7.5w LED.

The brightest LED of them all.

I wanted the incandescent bulb because daytime sunlight. Almost got rear ended on the highway because LED is not that visible, and on a Honda Shadow Aero, their light sits on the fender, so the sun can shine directly into it, not like sport bikes where it's under the seat and covered by the sun.

LEDs are good and brighter at night, saves you that 5watts and 21 watts of running power, but not that great in the daytime.

Kuryakyn makes a retarded bulb that costs $30...
Ebay has some red ones for $8, and Clear alternatives carry the red bulbs too. I guess I would have to order, thought I can get them somewhat locally. lol
