Where to buy DR650 stuff?

Hi, new to the forum.

Just bought an'09 DR650 and would like to get some general oil change stuff, like filters and oil but also some other things like 14 tooth CS sprocket, Twin Air filter, etc. I'd just order from ProCycle in the US, but with exchange, duty, etc., it's pretty much double right now.

Anywhere in Canada I might find what I'm after?

Thanks.

Congrats on the bike!

Not sure if they can do Suzuki, but GP Bikes can get a lot of parts, at a decent price. If it's over $89 it's free shipping.

Just make a list and try Ken @ GP Bikes.

There's also A Vicious Cycle (twistedthrottle.ca) and DualSportPlus

I hear you on the exchange rate... pretty brutal right now. If you have a pile of stuff and you need to get it in the states, try CBI or http://crossborderpickups.ca/

+1 for Avicious cycle, they have everything a dualsporter could dream of and more. Their online catalog is great and shipping is free I believe. I've heard great things about Dualsport plus, but have yet to deal with them.

Procycle is great. I bought a bunch of stuff there last year. Shipping was a killer.

I've also bought from A Viscous Cycle and recommend them too. Some specialized parts like suspension upgrades may only be available from the states, though.

Canadasmotorcycle.com has oem and aftermarket parts for suzuki and has free shipping after $49 spent. That is where I buy the stuff for my two suzukis now.

Give Sturgess Cycle a try. They're in Hamilton (not open sunday-monday though.) It's where I grab most of my stuff when I need it.

Dual Sport Plus in Brantford.

I see you're on Advrider asking about oil. I run 15/40 diesel oil by the 5 gallon pail (Shell Rotella) or sometimes whatever's on sale at Canadian Tire or Wally World. I usually have ProCycle throw a dozen oil filters into an order. But like you say, with the exchange rate these days, that hasn't happened in a long while. Crescent Oil on Cannon St. in Hamilton gets my aircooled v twin oil business. Look them up you might like what they have to offer.

Thanks for all the great advice guys.

I ended up ordering oil, a filter and some chain lube from Canada's MC. Just so easy. They didn't have the drain plug crush washer, so I may still have to make the trek to Sturgess anyway. I really miss Dual Sport + in Stoney Creek. What's the new version in Brantford like?

Still have to get a few more things and AVC has almost as much for the DR as ProCycle. However, shipping is not free under $350. Still, good selection there
