What's my bike worth?

I'm just curious because sometimes I dream of other bikes but want to figure out if I can afford to switch.

2009 ZX6R
35,000kms, I bought last year with about 10,000km less.
Pearly white, originally blue. White is starting to chip in a few spots on the tank.
Two brothers black shorty slip on
Shorty levers, can't figure the brand
Fender eliminated with integrated signals
Newish Pilot road 2s have about 1500km on them, just road use in the fall last year and about 200km on the road this year.
Been in for scheduled service by Speedworx, stored with Ken over the winter.
Previous owner babied. I've let him down somewhat lol, sorry J. I'm not the most fanatical washer and cleaner in the world.
It's been tipped over once each side from standing and not moving with some scratches to show for it, nothing too serious. Eric checked it out last service and couldn't see anything serious.

So in summary, a well maintained but well used bike with high kms and scratches. What should I list for were I to sell? Assume I would actually wash and polish before showing.

Can you post a picture? From the sound of things, it should be around $4.5-$5K.

nope that didn't work. how to do?
I have pic in google plus.
OK hang tight Paul's gonna post for me lol.
It's not exactly a pic I would use for selling though.

bluebooktrader.com says $6k at the low end.

That custom paint job is gonna hurt the value further.

Selling bikes in gta is like selling a house right now. List high, hope for the best and there's a good chance some dummy will buy it.

5-6k i'd say realistically. Quick peek at kijiji and some people are asking 8,500 lol (brand new 2012 were being sold for 9300 out the door couple years back as a reference)

I have the problem of high KM so there's not a lot to compare to. I sure wish kijiji had a way for a seller to report what they actually sold for.

Mods rarely do anything to raise the resale value since the buyer needs to have the same tastes as you do. Tasteful mods might make it sell quicker, but probably not worth any more than a stock one in same condition.

Most of the ridiculous priced bikes sit there for ever or are gradually reduced. Also people will lowball like a mofo...

Personally i think if you have a bike thats really worth 6K to post it up for 5.5 firm, vs 8500 or best offer. Thats how i've always done it and never had a problem selling, the buyers know whats up and no silly game of negotiating.

that's not high km. Also, don't worry what you list for, that has nothing to do with what people will offer you.
Those ads with "firm" have been typically recycled for years. "Firm" means they don't really want to sell.

I'm having a KTM dilemma as well. I'll have to think about it for a while lol. Thanks for the input guys, I expect to see you all bidding each other up to about 6k when I decide to sell lol.

OH and if anyone wants it for 7k now we can be done real quick.
