What about a motorcycle's age?

I apologize for thinking the Co-operators insurance was for motorcycles 25 years or older rather than 30.
It's this short term memory loss!
I have to pic my teeth to remember what I had for breakfast. (now try to get that image out of your head)
I have been known to stop at the hardware store on the way to the ice cream shop 150km away aledgeily to attend a CVMG event.
Better than riding dirty!

Pretty much any ride/drive I take with a vintage machine is a test drive. Testing to see if the lights work, brakes work etc.

Never been an issue or concern really.

I like ice cream.
My CB-1 is 37yrs old.
I pay $500/yr for insurance, and I can put as much mileage on it, and go anywhere I want 365.
It's lumped with my house & car.

I *do* have fire/theft on my 29 year old TL1000S, partly because somebody *might* steal it, but mostly because comp coverage on it is very cheap. No collision though
Yeah, I forgot to mention I have no Collision coverage on my bike either. I haven't had collision coverage on any bike I've ever owned. I've always bought used and paid cash, so no need for that because of a loan.

My reasoning is that if I crash and it's my fault then it's my responsibility to fix my bike. If it's someone else's fault, then repair cost or replacement value is on them. By the way, in over 50 years of riding I've had just two crashes and both were "my fault". They were in the first few years of riding and my repair costs were minimal.

My current 1997 ST1100 is simply not worth the price of either collision, or fire and theft coverage. I actually tried to sell it in 2021 when my insurance cost spiked to $1100 due to a speeding ticket in my car. I was asking $1500 and had no real interest. I'm glad I didn't sell because I was able to find a more palatable price the following year and have continued to enjoy riding.
