VRRA at Shannonville next weekend

A neighbour races every year, have gone to cheer him on a couple times. Any VRRA event is worth a visit, as there's always lots and lots of track action and the range of bikes is impressive. Pits are always full of cool stuff to admire, and it's a very friendly vibe.

As someone whose nostalgia sweet spot is a few years after their latest era (late '90s into early '00s for me), I think they're missing a trick by having a class with early injected 750 fours taking on 1000 twins (ZX-7R vs GSXR 750 vs RC51 vs 996 anyone?), but can understand why they want to cut it off at carbs only.
 
Is it worth bringing a pit bike? We romp all over Mosport on pit bikes.

It's been (just) a few years but I don't think they allow them. Teams can have them but they have to sport the rider # on the bike somewhere.

Those bikes are all allowed now including R6. Pit bikes are also allowed and any plated bike to explore mosport.

Did they update it? I thought they capped it at 1997, no 996, no FI GSXR, no RC51, etc. Kawasaki never injected the ZX-7R, so it was eligible all years the last I checked.

Not sure about the 996? Srad, zx7, zx6, rc51, r6 and a few more are all good. Not all generations are approved. Zx7 all years are good til 2003.
