Seems like a fairly smart concept. Agreed that there should be some sort of snap emergency release for the hinges instead of screws and a web site. Still, even the standard opening gives easier access to the airway with less disturbance to the neck and spine then a full-face.
Would like to see how it does in Snell, DOT & ECE testing. The snugger fit around the neck and chin should give it an advantage by allowing less movement of the head within the helmet. I wonder if the chin is the only adjustable padding, or if padding can be changed to fit different shaped heads.
I would also like to see some wind tunnel testing to see if the noise and buffeting claims are true. Would need to test it on naked, SS, adventure and standard touring bikes to see how it reacts to different body positions and wind screens.
The curved shape of the bottom won't be compatible with any after market communicator system like Sena or Scala. If this helmet became popular, they would need to look at a different mounting bracket for these lids.
