Evidently, these guys just bought out one of the BMW forums I frequent.

It seems they are based out of Toronto and are scooping up as many forums and sites as possible.

Anybody know any more on this company and what they are trying to accomplish?

Wow, that is an expansive list. If I had to guess, they are going for a classic economies of scale model.

They bought out Motorcycle.com a few years ago. Brought in a shiny new design for the website and badly watered down all of the writing. They probably only want the forums as additional avenues for their large clientèle of motorcycle advertisers.

Yep.....thats the biggest concern on the other forum. More annoying and clever advertising.

One forum that I'm on, ZX-10R.net was bought out some time ago by Motorcycle.com which is a subsidiary of VerticalScope. They've taken a hands-off approach to the day to day operation of that forum. The only thing that's changed are the site sponsors. It hasn't negatively affected that forum itself.
