Upgrading from 600cc to litre bike

I want to move up to SS litre bikes. No practical reasons at all.

Anyone who had made the move from 600 to 1000 can share their thoughts, that would be great.

OP, I upgraded from a 500 to a 1050. No issues, just take it easy on the throttle. I like the torque, and being able to cruise around all day in 3rd.
