careful out there....bloody humid - want to hit the Forks but that looks nassssssssty

do you hit the forks everyday? It still hasn't gotten boring? Its like going on the same roller coaster again and again and again...
a mediocre one at that.

What does hitting the forks mean?

Forks of the Credit in Belfountain, ON. It's one of the better GTA area riding roads. Hitting it implies riding it/going there.

Heard about it, been wanting to go out for food since 2 and it still hasnt rained a drop here yet....

Edit: nvm... It hit hard for about 20 secs and stopped lol.

no - and even if I go to Belfountain I rarely ride the Forks road - it is passé but once in a while enjoyable depending on my mood.
I go for the coffee and chat with other riders and as a take off spot for other rides to the north and east or west. It's my northern office.
Free wifi, pretty girls and chance to socialize.
It's an "okay" ride up 40k - a few small twists and my route varies a bit. Gets me out of the house/office and it's decent jump off spot. See some unusual bikes too.
That Rune yesterday was a treat as were the retro Honda's that lurk in the area
I've made a few sales by accident.

$6.75 latte made the way I like and fresh bagel with salmon and capers served to my chair :D

ok...you win.

The actual road is really only enjoyable at random hours during the weekdays. On the weekends way too many bikes, cars and pedestrians...

What macdoc said. Higher ground is great. Staff are super friendly, the owner is a cool guy and there's usually lots of things to see or people to talk to. The forks road itself sucks because all the city folk pack it all weekend long like it's some mecca of motorcycling. It's a whopping 7 mins long.

Yup - the Grange across the other side of 10 and then up one of the N S roads ( there are several ) is fun with some elevation changes and make you work a bit corners. Then Hockley ( just okay ) and River Road ( decent ) and whatever that East West Road above Hockley is with the moraines and big sweeps that cruises the top of the Hockley Ridge. We zig zagged a bit. My shoulder was too sore to push it but buddy on the Honda CBR1100 was having some fun and it was a very nice riding day.

Actually the owners are the girls now. Prices down and service and value up. The one girl who manages is going to enter in the Barrista World Challenge.....she's pretty good with the latte art.

You can put together a reasonable mix but nothing like say Wykoff or SR144/44

We had more fun on that loop than the longer 550k one to 507 a couple days later.

The Forks is just an easy meetup place -

If you are willing to chance it....the short uphill twistes with the elevation changes toward the east end going east bound IS fun at speed. But not knowing what is over the blind hills ......
