trying to sell

Plenty of good advice!
If the price is agreed on and buyer is just being cautious - why not ?

Yea i agree take Paul's advice. Agree on a price take a deposit and go with him to the mechanic as his expenses. If anything comes up there you can either negotiate a new price or give him the deposite back.

If somthing major comes up you can confirm it later with a neutral mechanic if you want.

+1 to what Paul said.

That's how I did it when I sold one of my cars a while back. Buyer wanted his mechanic to give it a once over, I said "no problem, so long as we agree to a price, you give me a deposit and cover the cost of the inspection and my time". Buyer was ok with that, and everything checked out. Win-win.

The majority of people are reasonable and understanding, and usually you have to filter through a bunch of idiots before you get to the real people.

Having said all that, it's, a 1 year old bike so either the buyer has no clue what to look for and whats it looked over by a third party or he's trying to squeeze out a few more dabloons out of you.

Good luck either way.

All depends on how difficult you find to sell this vehicle. If there's lots of demand, why waste your time. If there's zero demand then obviously you have to cooperate more. You can take a deposit for the ride over to mechanic's and if the guy ends up buying the bike, give him his money back.

My personal advice is this though - if I don't like the person I'm dealing with then I don't deal with them.
