For those of you considering heading south.
I just got back from Maggie Valley NC
They had a small rally their May 3-4-5
We left Tue April 30 around noon
7c and we saw ice burgs floating down the Niagara river
It was a frigid ride to past Erie PA
Once we made the turn on I79 it started to warm up.
We spent the night in Washington PA
The next day we had lunch in Princeton WV and it was 30c
Very little construction on I79 – 19 –I77 route and little traffic
Back of the Dragon is in great shape and Hungry Mother is stunning and in full bloom.
For our trip home we changed route and did I75
I hate this route home.
There’s so much traffic and trucks and that Cinci area is a nightmare.
Being fair once you get past Cinci it starts to calm down but still…way too much traffic on a Sunday for me.
Lots of construction zones on this route but quiet as it was Sunday.
I’ve done I77-19-I79 home on a Sunday and it can be a real breeze all the way past Erie.
Those of you looking for a cold beer in Robinsville…this is a dry county however the Tapoco Lodge along the river has a wonderful bar and food.
