Hey everyone!, I'm new on this forum just looking to see if anyone knows of any trails or off road riding I could go check out. I ride a wr250x but I put the knobbies on so I wanna rip up some dirt! Ps. If anyone else has an enduro or motard or whatever and wants to come along it would just add to the fun

welcome to fourm
plenty of dirt side roads up in the caledon area and ur close to city limits. great views and in the area of forks of criedt.

I was thinking somewhere a little closer.. Maybe Pickering ? Mind you I'd be riding this 250 there so long highway runs aren't preferred

Ganaraska would be your best bet. Miles and miles of singletrack godness!! The Bethany dual sport ride is this coming Sat.May 3rd. Gonna be a blast. Check out the ODSC site. The ride starts at Haugens in north Oshawa and does a mix of backroads(paved) and dirt roads and also some unimproved roads/trails all the way to Bewdley.

There is tons of trails/road allowances North and east of pickering. There really isn't anything I can direct you to though. Best bet is to ride North and try some secondary roads. Keep a look out for 'no exit' signs. There is usually a road allowance at the end of them and you can find some neat trails that way.

As someone suggested, the Bethany ride is a great ride that goes through a lot of the areas that are great to explore. You'll see a lot of trails leading off of the route that you can go back to explore later.

They are a good bunch of guys so you don't have to worry about going by yourself. Just let John know when you are signing in and I'm sure he'll help you find a group to ride with.

Pickering pits... Sideline 22 or 23 off of Taunton. It's on the north side of road.

Used to go rip in there, huge trail that goes across a river. Went there when the Raglan pits became infested with turds and got the 5-0 coming every day on Polaris Grizzly's.. lol

Sounds like I'm going to have to make the trip up there this weekend...especially with all the rain this week it'll be squirrelly and wet...lots of fun

Save yourself a lot of pain and aggravation, invest in a set of hand guards. Saves the hands, levers, and helps prevent bent bars (IMO).
