Total Control, Racer5 or FAST?

I found the level 1 total control to be mostly body positioning focused. Level 2 you actually got to work on vision, trail breaking, and turn point etc.

Both levels are awesome, personally i enjoyed level 2 more than 1

on top of that the skills days they hold really ingrain what is taught. I will say that it is near impossible to 'get' everything they teach in the course while on the lot with them. Definately a bit of a brain overload haha but with the skills day I've been able to put level 1 and 2 together nicely. In other words level 1 I got body position somewhat. Level 2 I forgot about body positioning in order to focus on trail braking, vision, and lines. It was during the skills days that I was really able to put both together. I can trail brake while keeping my outside arm resting on my gas tank, with weight significantly to the inside of the turn (and low). Although on the track due to wind resistance I wouldn't hang off the bike as much, it is still amazing to know what 'perfect' form looks like.

If you didn't already catch it I'm a huge fan of total control!

+1000 - Total Control was awesome!

Just registered for level 2 of total control... Maybe racer 5 at the end of the season if I can convince myself to spend the money.

Thanks guys, I'm 99% going to sign up for TC.

I wanna take TC but it's 2 hours each way for me... would make a really long day, don't wanna be fatigued on the way back.

Any suggestions?

Maybe comes the day before and stay at a hotel... Or see if you can do some couch surfing.

I don't remember being tired after level 1. You spend a good amount of the day in class.

Me too, I'm allergic to the GTA, it brings me out in hives. Plus it smells like pooh.

I commute from Markham to Mississauga every weekday rain or shine. You'll be fine lol

Total Control is totally worth the money and others have said a good idea to do before going to the track. I did the intro to track in my first season with Racer 5 then ARC1 with Turn 2 and yes they were fun and I did learn lots, but it was not comparable to the amount of knowledge gained with Total Control which came out in my second season of riding last year.

If you can afford it I suggest taking a dirt bike course too with Trail Tours:) Never stop learning or improving your riding!!!

Do you need seat time BEFORE you take TC??? I just got a bike and have put on may be 200 kms....Do I need to Hold my horses and come back next season?

Yes, they want you to have done X thousand miles (can't remember the number, you can look it up) on your bike before taking Total Control.

I think its 3000 miles.

This is me in level one.

We were doing a smaller scale of that at the end of level one and at the end of level two we had a course set up in the whole parking lot area we were in but the cirlcles we did were like the bigger ones that they showed in that vid. Wish they had taken vid of us doing that.

We also got to do that in the refresher course too. I missed the one in May, hoping to do the one in September though.

Were any supersports there? Or specifically, bikes with sport position? I've noticed most gymkhana videos they use supersports with modded straight bars, does it make it that much easier? =/
