Toronto to Montreal

A buddy and his bro who are new to riding want to ride to MTL! I suggested one night staying over since we want to take a fun way . Probably leave early sat and arrive most likely by noon or evening MTL.

http://goo.gl/maps/2nafL - ride to

http://goo.gl/maps/5fYKW - possible ride back. or we might 401 depending on what they want to do.

Because it's going to be at a leisure pace, I am not sure the route back will be plausible because we might run late evening and I doubt gas stations will be open up north.

Any suggestions would be appreciated !

on the way there, rather than take 41 and 132 after Denbigh, consider taking hwy 65 (which becomes Calabogie Rd) and the 511 instead. Although I haven't been there in awhile (6-7 years) I recall it being a very nice road to ride. Looks twistier than 132 as well.

If you're taking newer riders, the 10 hour trip there you've planned is gonna be killer for their butts. Consider doing it over 2 days for a 3-4 day trip overall.

sweet, thanks!

I just grabbed these routes off other threads on gtam, so I didn't really take the time to modify them. Calabogie is on the first route. I havn't been there yet :)

the second route would be coming back, and going back via newmarket seems like the better way to go. I don't know if we'll make it through the second route, depending on time. I might do something easier like hwy 7 all the way back. 401 for last effort, lol.

I know my friend hasn't been to mtl before, but I have good feeling he wants to check out old mtl and give his camera a workout.

Just in case you ding dongs have any minor mechanical problems in Montreal, feel free to give me a shout.
Agaves backyard tent city plots available for rent, please don't touch the tomato plant. :D

+1 for Apsley.

Vrus, what's with the huge detour to Barry's Bay and then on Letterkenny + Quadeville?
