to paint or not to paint? that is the question...

I am wondering if I should paint my FZR 250. As it is a rare import, would painting it decrease the value of the bike? It already has a crack on one of the farings, and the gas tank is not really a tank, its just a cover that shields the airbox and fuel tank below it.

Appreciate the advice.

If you want to fix the "cracks" you can paint it but keep it OEM colours/scheme.
Don't go customizing it!

Depends on the overall condition. A repaint will lower the value is all else is good stock, but raise the value if it's banged up. Or it depends on if the buyer cares.

I was checking how much custom paint jobs cost....it isn't cheap =/

Plasti dip Spraycan with glossifier. Looks good, protected, and easily removed if you don't like it

How easy would it be to, say, do an entire car with plasti dip spray cans in your driveway? Just as difficult as trying to spray paint it yourself with normal paint? Also considering a vinyl wrap for said car but I have no idea if it's any more cheaper than just getting it painted.

To keep it on topic, I would use the plasti dip method on a classic bike if I wanted the option to revert to stock.
