Tire plugs car vs M/C

A couple of years ago I bought one of BMWs high priced tire repair kits. Yesterday I woke and saw that my wife's car had a complete flat so decided to try the kit while I was in a convenient spot. It didn't work so I went out and bought a cheap ($8.00) Slime kit and it worked fine.

The problem with the BMW kit was that the plugs are an oblong shape and they tore when I tried to push them through the hole. The car plugs were the straight rubber / string type.

The BMW kit has CO2 filler cartidges but being at home I used my compressor.

My question is "Is the M/C tire construction more giving than a belted car tire?"

Question 2 "Any problem with using a car plug on a bike tire?"

I'm not into the debate about replacing the tire or trusting the plug. This is a get you home situation.

I've used the generic tire plug kits (Canadian Tire) a few times. For the common screw or nail through the tire situation, they work fine.

I haven't had much luck with Tire Slime.

I didn't use Slime liquid. It was a plug kit made by Slime and was basically just another plug kit. I have mixed emotions about Slime liquid type products.
