Good for the Timmy's parking lot, but I'm sure the paint will creep to the tread and affect your traction on the road.

If you ride your bike hard enough. I find it hard to believe that paint will remain for more than a few days

Was a fad about a decade ago. As long as the paint is only on the very bottom of the groove, it's won't be a problem.

They were called Scorchers. BFG discontinued them about 10 years ago. They were not good, nor popular tires. I have never sold a set.
