WOW, what an amazing road! If you're going down to Deals Gap, make sure you stop there. Took it eastward from Bristol to Mountain City, TN. Starts off a little slow and I was upset for making the detour but wow did it redeem itself. Really spectacular. Just as tight and technical in many areas as The Dragon, except it goes on and on and on.

Not only that, but I was there on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, zero traffic and not a cop in sight.

I had more fun on it than the dragon since I had it to myself, great road. I'm going to post a video I took on there shortly

Route 421.

I saw about a dozen black snakes sunbathing on the road.

Did you see the photographer at the bottom of a downhill with a tight right hander at the bottom? He has a website. BlindKenny.com similar to the 2 other photographers on the Dragon.



Another really good one is the "Back of the Dragon" Rt 16 in Virginia. South end starts at Marion just on the north side of I81 and goes north over 3 mountains to just west/south of Tazewll, Per the brochure I have it goes over Walker Mountain, Brushy Mountain & Clinch Mountain. +260 curves in 33 miles. Elevation up to 3.500 feet. Go very slow if you are not a very skilled rider! This summer there was brand new pave over the 2nd mountain.

I once followed a 5 ton cube truck over the 2nd mountain. It had to pull over at which time I could barely see the driver as he exited the vehicle due to all the brake smoke rolling out from the truck!! Someone gave him the wrong directions I suspect. Lol.

There is a sign at the south end that states no vehicles over 30 feet long permitted.

I did see him but wasn't expecting him to be there and thought he might be a rider in trouble and nearly stopped. Just found the pics
