The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Those stats surprised me. I've driven and ridden in both and was not aware that Barrie was considered to be the most dangerous in Ontario. I'm also shocked that Brampton has somehow dropped down to 4th. There is no way I would believe that Toronto is now the safest city in Ontario for drivers. At one time Toronto traffic safety was okay, but that was about 20 years ago.
It's a numbers game, where Toronto is concerned. It has the highest population in the Province and the highest number of exclusive transit users. Ratings are per capita.

In Toronto proper one can live without a car. Walk to neighbouroods, 24 hour transit, high cost of parking when you can find it. The burbs are different.

How many Barrie drivers were trained in Toronto and retain the mind set?

"Trained" is doing some heavy lifting in that post. I find that people learn all that they need in order to pass the test and then promptly ignore what they don't like, the minute they actually hit the road. Many people from more populated regions go out of their cities so that they can take tests in more lenient testing locations.

My experience has been that people go to smaller areas, because they can’t get an appointment.
I found Ottawa to be much worse for running stop signs and red lights, having trouble staying in the lines, and unnecessarily driving in the leftmost lanes, than Toronto.

That's definitely the problem with Brampton drivers. They go 30 minutes north to take their test in Orangeville where the "highway" portion of the G2 exit consists of 5 minutes on Highway 10 with an 80kph limit. They then drive home and jump onto the 410 and wreak complete havoc.

I’ve also seen it.

I’m bored so reported to Helton police and urge anyone to also report the video and link.

Report was just accepted.
The plate doesn't appear to be recoverable from the video. It might be possible from the original source, as most website seem to add additional compression that screws with quality.
