So I'm in the cage and driving down Vaughan Mills Road and its full of speed bumps and stop signs but just before you get to Langstaff you go up a curving hill and can give it some gas until you reach the light. Now it is almost 8 and the sun has set but there is still a little light in the west. So out of the blue I see about a dozen idiots on minibikes turn off of Langstaff and go up Vaughan Mills. The riders looked like teens and the bikes were maybe 50 - 90 cc's.
No lights, No helmets. Riding like idiots.

Earlier in the day I see a guy riding a Ninja east on Rutherford. No licence plate.

Homey:

There are a alot of "tards" out there who do not exclusively reside in Woodbridge.
Have you ever ridden on the 401 from one end of the GTA to the other? There are many bad drivers out there and a fair share of people riding on scooters, minibikes etc. on the GTA streets who do not have a clue how to ride.
And I've seen several bikes on the road in GTA without plates. And I've even seen a girl in a bikini riding a R6 on 27 South from Wasaga.
Thats life!

I would just like to hear more about the girl riding in the bikini. :-)

Actually, as a guy living in Woodbridge, I notice that most riders are very well behaved. Sure it's squid city, but most respect the rules of the road and other riders. Sadly, there are idiots everywhere.

Which side of Woodbridge do you live in? Taking Langstaff daily, there are always people (mostly teens) cutting in and out of traffic like idiots... People making U-Turns in front of you.. (Oh you said riders... These were cagers..)

But there is a idiot BMW rider with no life posing at the corner store on Ansley Grove *cough cough* everyday popping a wheelie down that street everytime I see him pass by. (Ansley grove being a small side street/50 zone with kids running everywhere... Guess hes showing the kids what he can do.) Sadly this guy doesn't look like a teen.

I'm up at Weston and Rutherford. Pretty tame around here. But that guy popping wheelies on Ansley needs to get a freaking life.

Yeah... He just goes there, parks his bike and smokes... I guess waiting for people to talk to him...

I just don't get some people...why are they driving around in a cage when they should be riding.:)

You'll find out some day. My son is 15, daughter 12. I should have bought a black Lincoln Town Car because I seem to spend half my time chauffeuring them and their friends around.

Damn bud, I'm sorry to hear that your children have lost the ability to walk. I hope some day people invent chairs with wheels, or something called a bicycle, but the best would be a very large box with four wheels and many seats (they could call it mass transit maybe). Even though I'm an Atheist, for you I will pray that your children can overcome their handicap.

I have never laughed so hard at anything on this forum before. Memories of my parents telling me to stuff it and walk or "save up for a bus ticket" came rushing back.

Obviously you're not a parent.

Lol love it. I never asked for rides as a teen as the answer was no. Even if it was 30km away, I just peddled my car free *** to where I had to go. Winter time was no different. Lived in the country in a smaller town, no transit either.

No way he's a parent. But I agree with his sentiment. We should be forcing our kids to be more self- sufficient. But as a parent myself, I understand the peace of mind and time savings that comes from just driving your kid to a friend's house yourself. That said, a 15-year old is getting on the bus EVERY time.

Yes I am a parent of a 10 year old boy and 6 year old girl. If it was up to me my son would be able to go wherever he wanted by himself, but unfortunately I am married so I have to compromise.

My weekly responsibilities are Monday 5:30 to 6:30 is his boxing class, I take my daughter to a park while we wait for him. Then to a hip hop dance class 8:00 to 8:45. Wednesday nights boxing class 5:30 to 6:45 and my daughter has Jazz class from 6:00 to 6:45. Friday, boxing again 5:30 to 6:30. Then Saturday my daughter has three dance classes starting at 9:00 and ending at 12:45.

So yes I drive them to these because they are on the other side of Brampton. When my son is 12 he will be riding his bike, or taking the bus to his classes. The same goes for my daughter.

Lol, i know exactly who your talking about.....

I grew up in the east end of Toronto (no, not Scarborough) and everything was either within walking distance or you could hop on the subway and go anywhere. Transportation in the burbs isn't that good outside of rush hour. If its going to take an hour to an hour and a half to get somewhere and another hour to get home then they'll just stay at home and play computer games.
My son is into physical fitness and will often run home at midnight but when you have to be perty for the babes you're not going to be riding a bike and sweating like a pig prior to meeting them.
My daughter does gymnastics at the provincial level 3 nights a week for four hours and then I pick her up so she can come home to do her homework at 8:30

I guess some people get nice bikes to pose and show off to high school kids rather than for the joy / thrill or riding...

Bikings good for ya. Keeps the weight off and increases your cardio!
People should bicycle, or walk more.

Especially if they want to survive a Zombie Apocalypse. Most of the people I've seen wishing there was an Apocalypse are far too out of shape; yet think they'd live so easily.
Better for me, I guess. Let the Z's take out the slower ones. Which reminds me of a story!
