For anyone going down this year, it's slated to be repaved starting sometime in March/May and hopefully be done before the end of June.
Apparently they will close down one direction at a time in the area they're working on. So it won't be impassible, just really annoying, especially if you get stuck behind slow moving, white knuckled drivers or the dreaded Harley Train....
