Suzuki C50 B.O.S.S, Honda 750 Phantom versus Kawasaki V900

Plenty of reviews on-line for the Honda and Kawasaki, but nothing on the Suzuki.

Interested in upgrading my ride (Kawi V500) after completion of the M2 Exit, so would value your opinions.

I've checked other areas of the forum, so apologize if this is not in the correct section.

Tough choice, all three are remarkably similar in specs & looks. I've been on the Phantom since 2012 and I love it. I think it comes down to price & ergonomics. Go to the dealers & sit on them. Try a test ride if possible. That's the only way to be certain.

The market is full of blacked-out mid-cruisers now. If I had all these choices 2 years ago, I'd have been paralyzed with confusion. :dontknow:

C50 B.O.S.S. = C50 with paint job + rims. Lots of shootouts & reviews between the middleweights but no clear winners.

Personal observations. Up front, the Phantom is smaller than the rest and at 6'1" I've only given it a passing look.

Your middleweight contenders should also include the Star 950 (my preference). I've owned all 3.

The C50 is a great bike, handles the best of the 3, is spacious, doesn't take a great pic but nice looking in person, gets busy above 110, touring edition is nicely equipped. I was looking around for a highway option to bring the revs down but sold the bike while looking for the parts.

V900 Custom is a great looking bike, great engine, feet forward so handing isn't as good, narrow tire seemed to find and follow every road nuance, although just as much plastic as the C50, is a little more obvious. I'd have probably done a little better with the "Classic" as more of a tourer than putzing around. Final drive is perfect for 120+ highway romps. I should have kept this longer than I did, but came back from NY after riding some pretty bad roads and went back to an FZ6.

I presently own a V-Star 950. Fit, Finish & Quality abound, great highway gearing, neutral seating position like the C50, yes I've dragged a floorboard at parking lot speed, but not like the reviewer are always stating, just "the complete package".

I'm sure my future involves a C50 custom build.
