Been following this Desmo rebuild.The Ohlins segment is fun and educational.

Good find. Video 9 in the same series covers the valve clearance adjustment procedure.

They're doing that with the cylinder head on the bench. Doing it with the engine in the bike would be awkward.

The damage done to the Desmo by poor storage was pretty expensive.
I love the old air cooled ducs. Everything can be done without removing the heads. Most 4 valvers require head removal unless you have hands the size of munchkins.
I really like the tool they use to seat the collets. Everytime i have put new çollets in, i have had to go back in and check the clearances. It's about a 50/50 chance that it would need a different shim.
The tool is probably about $400.Grrr.
