Anything 95 or older is not considered an SS by Jevco, if you're willing to get something that old.

Statefarm is out no g.

I spoke to my broker regarding supersport vs sport tourer.

Through Jevco

Bikes like the ninja 650, sv650, for me would cost (liability 1219)

Super sports 2723 (zx6r, r6)

call southland insurance brokers in windsor , they deal with Jevco. I've got my M2 in 2010, rode for one year and sold my 250 ninja. didn't ride last year and just bought a 2012 ninja 650 that i will pick up in May. The insurance with them is $905/yr.....pretty good !

Yah I pay $905/year full coverage on my 2008 Ninja 650R through TD Meloche Monnex (5 years riding, GM, 27). It's a great bike for the street, and cheap as dirt to run (relatively speaking)... But it's no SS I guess if that's what you're looking for.

zzr 600 for the win it is a SS but with non SS insurance... Don't know what more you could ask for really jevco doesn't have it blacklisted... unless you really dislike the looks.

Cause it's not :P ...... but the Speed Triple is...........sense, this makes none

How about a VFR? They are nice bikes.....a bit bigger though and not as much power.

Pretty much the same as your bike with a slightly different tuned engine... the other difference? Your bike is black listed.

a couple years back,i had the task of trying to keep up with a sv 650,the guy on the sv,was the photographer at the parrysound sportbike rally.had fast. sticker on his bike.he left me behind in the twisties.me on my 929,riding for 26 years.i thought i was fast.ccs, dont make up for skill.my lesson learned that day.

Pre-1995 GSXR 750.

I was just about to say this! lolz
Try going the older/sportbike route, some ins companies skip out on the superbike surcharge if it's over 15ish years old

I'm picking up a 1990 gsxr 750 and Jevo's quoting me $1600. And they're saying it's actually going to get lower come my renewal date in April! So I"m pretty stoked 'bout that =D

Care for a GS500F? I'm selln 'er ;)

It's not 5 years since you get your G...
You have to have a valid G license and 5 years since your G1!

So yeah, get your G.

Yep. I've got my F4i insured with SF. Tried Jevco who I had my old car insured with but they quoted me almost $8K! F*** that!

Any of the bikes mentioned above are good choices imo. Just add clip-ons if you want a sportier feel.

Seriously, my old neighbour has an '86 gsxr 750 that helped him open his head on the sidewalk. He was lucky considering his lack of discipline. Still great looking bikes, though I'm getting out of SS for comfort issues.

You can always mod F4i for 'comfort issues' I think. I just got Corbin banana seat for mine (off F4, same seat though). Will probably get risers for the clip-ons, maybe even lower the pegs.

My bike. 2006 Kawi z750s. Inline 4cyl. has the heart of an SS and the comfort of a ST.
Insures at 780$ a year from jevco. :p
Mind you, I have modded about everything on my bike.

(stands and applauds)

If you don't have your head up your ***** about the bike's age and/or mileage then you can find good deals for older bikes that work just fine and will keep you plenty entertained. I started on a 1992 Honda CBR600F2. It was, imho, a great first move for me. Inexpensive to insure, plenty fast, good reputation/reliability, could get you into plenty of trouble if you wanted it to ... and out of trouble just as easily. ;)

You know how it goes, though - you wanna play, you gotta pay.
