Was interested in a r6, however issue is I dont have my full g and havent had it for more than 5 years. So statefarm is no longer an option.

Interested to know what are other options for bikes other than a 650 ninja that are not classifed as supersport but still pretty sick bikes.

Very bored of my 250 ninja but not looking to pay thousands for insurance.

Suzuki SV line-up isnt' that bad, same with Yamaha's YFZ line up. Anything sport tour is usually a little cheaper.

Is a Husqvarna 630 considered ss in canada? If not, they are great bits of kit

Damn, guess i have to go ahead and get my g done and wait 5 freakin years. absurd.

Yeah its retarded... but you don't have to ride around on a 250 which you are bored of, switching to a SV650 or a fazer, or a ZZR isn't a bad thing, you will find a ton of power in them, and you enjoy riding them. Good luck on finding your next ride.

If you can get past having a bike only for parking lot cred.(slick looking is personal taste) there are a ton of options...typically one or more from each manufacturer! cbr600f4i, sv650, gs500, fz8, full faired, naked, tons of options whether new or used! If you truly enjoy riding you'll soon discover that an ss for street riding isn't all it's cracked up to be and not worth the thousands that insurance companies require in premium. good luck in your search.

Consider another brand! I had an 03 R6, and when I switched to an 03 ZX6R my insurance dropped $1000 a year in price...Every brand/model is priced differently, and apparently the R6 is one of the more expensive ones to insure...

what does having a G license have to do with getting Motorcycle insurance?

call u jevco and check how much it would cost to insure a
Yamaha FZ8
Honda CB1000
....Yamaha VMAX? lol I've heard the VMAX is similar to a sport bike...without the ability to turn. Dunno if companies black list it though. Plus Saber from Fate/stay Night rides one.

and I find this out now....

:(

You should always call and get quotes before you buy a particular bike

I was surprised because the R6 and ZX6R were the same year and the ZX6R was actually a bigger engine at 636cc..Yet still way cheaper...

The F4i is considered a SS.

SV650, GS500, Katana 600, FZR

those are sport tourers. still look very sporty but will probably give you less on insurance

Statefarm is out no g.

I spoke to my broker regarding supersport vs sport tourer.

Through Jevco

Bikes like the ninja 650, sv650, for me would cost (liability 1219)

Super sports 2723 (zx6r, r6)
