hello peeps,

has anyone heard of this brand? "streetz"

i heard of this new place from another forumite's thread (daytona motorsports) and checked out their online store. and they carry a lot of 'streetz' branded gear.

i was just wondering if anyone has heard or has any feedback or know more details about this brand. i googled but has not found any so far except for postings of their jackets for sale. i guess im kinda curious about the brands details etc.

thanks.

I got the dominator leather jacket from streetz, bought it at Daytona Motorsport by Keele St and Steeles. I seen their gear at some motorcycle rally down in Florida, I think it was either Biketober Fest, or Daytona Bike Week at a couple vendors.

btw, love the jacket and the racing gloves i got from them!

interesting. i think it was your thread i was referring to on my post.

never heard nor seen this brand anywhere ever. dont really care about the brand name as long as the quality is good etc etc. i was just wondering about it, i guess part of wondering about the new store.

so this is more known in the states i guess. where is the leather made from? i still need to stop by this place and check it out.

Got me a per of Streetz gloves. Perfect fit. the price is o.k also.
I think the brand is from US and England. They have also Helmets on sale for $70.00 full face !!!

but bro its street slang.. hense the name.. they are DOT approved so its just as good as other brands..

fyi, HJC, KBC ZOAN etc are all lower grade helmets, all the same **** unless you buy arai or shoei

So by that logic, Bell, Shark, AGV, Suomy, Nolan and the high-grade HJC helmets etc. etc. are all crap despite being well respected race brands...interesting theory.

To the OP, best thing to do is to go in to the store and compare their stuff to other brands equivalents. I always thought Rev'it was crap based on the name, but find their products to be quality.

I dont judge any product bases on the name, rather the quality of the product its self. In this case product vs price is definitely a positive in my opinion. I have heard some positive things about the jackets and the gloves from em, and the helmets seemed decent to me also. If you are looking for gear I would recommend them as a brand to my friends.

i actually went to the store recently and checked it out. there's a wall of helmets and racks of streetz gear stuff. there's a couple of racks of tourmaster mesh jackets.

the streetz brand stuff range from full leather suit, sports, cruiser, helmets, gloves, rain gear(?). they do have bits and pieces of other things like hids, led accent lights, knives, boots, lubes etc. the gloves are crap in my opinion (no offense). helmet feels plastic-ey and cheapish (well considering the price, its fairly cheap).

about the jackets, i looked at the sports and cruiser, focusing mainly on the cruiser. sports come in diff colors. cruiser ones is just black.

leather-wise, the cruiser (dominator?) jacket feels heavier and thicker and all in all better than the sports one. both jackets comes with (supposedly) ce approved shoulder/elbow soft armour. also with a back soft foam padding (dont think it was ce approved). also, the cruiser jacket (supposedly) come with kevlar lined breathable material for the inner arm/pits/side area. there are some sewn in paddings on the collar bone, back, shoulder area. i think there's different thickness of leather used in these jackets, though the main parts feel thick/heavy. im not a leather expert but it makes me think twice though the leather looks pretty ok. it also comes with a cheapy detachable liner, then it's mesh inside. the cuffs are pretty tight though. probably designed so that the gloves go over them. if you look at the stock, you'd notice some inconsistencies (ie: seams, alignment, padding thickness, stitches etc) though this just might be me. theyre not that noticeable normally, but i went there for the purpose of 'checking' the jackets.

all in all, thinking about it, it's a good jacket for the price (200$), but then again, you get what you pay for. hopefully, it's actually a good deal and the jacket would hold and do its job.

when i asked the dude at the shop about the brand, he mentioned that, this brand was in the daytona motorcycle event down in florida. he thinks the jacket is made from india or pakistan. and the leather is between 1.1-1.3 racing grade (?). not much specific details to be given about the 'streetz brand' gear/company.

it would be nice to compare them side by side with other brands just for comparison's sake. brand is just a label for me, but some brands do have a reputation and their products speak for themselves.

im still considering getting the cruiser jacket. maybe next pay date.

btw, i said 'supposedly' since the label affixed on the jacket looks like one of those labels you'd find on knockoff brands like in chinatown or something (no offense).

disclaimer: these are my own opinions/observations.

I got a streetz sport textile jacket from daytona last year and I love it. the price was awesome at $139 (msrp was $320). I am really happy with the quality of the materials and the ventilation of the jacket. its the jacket with the exterior shoulder protector in silver. Also got a similar jacket with purple on it for my girl and she enjoys it. I also have a pair of their short leather gloves I purchased at the same time and also happy with them. I think they were called Torque or something like that.

Purchased a set of riding boots from them at the beginning of the season which I was very impressed with. Comfortable and so far holding up pretty well 10,000km later!

Over all I am very happy with my "Streetz" textile jacket boots and gloves.

If they make so many things other than gear I'd be skeptical -- almost sounds like they could be the Hyosung of moto gear...lol
