I'm thinking about buying one for around the house. Alot of the ads indicate they do a good job on bikes. Does anyone use one for their bike? Has anyone ever damaged anything by using one?

Would it mess with paint or clear coating?
I don't think the steam is hot enough to mess with paint, but other things like adhesives, and oils and plastics I would keep it away from. I would use mine to clean the chain lube that sometimes splatters under the seat or around the swingarm, and the rims.

I like a clean machine, I hate doing it but still do. The steam cleaner is but one of my weapons against dirt in tight place. Works well
