Sprocket help?

I changed my front sprocket to a 14t, stock is 15 and now i can hear my chain spinning while i ride is this normal. Chain has about 1 1/2 inches of play without me on the bike. Its a klr650 btw.

Have you tried to tighten up the chain and see in its just too loose?

Yeah i tried with the chain tighter and looser than what the bike recommends

Smaller sprocket means more stress on the chain which means more noise. This is normal.

The oem sprocket has a rubber damping system that reduces the noise, so when you switch to an aftermarket sprocket you will get more chain noise.
