Shannonville should take it over, have some drag races on the back and let everyone camp all over the field. Maybe some lapping or a CSBK race in the middle. They'd make a mint.

Well they sure as hell need SOMETHING. Proximity to The County makes for good riding too.

We need a Leslie Spit Open TT with a series of different fun classes. (classic, fundraising teams, sport bikes, etc)
It could include Commissioners and Polson and some of the unassumed roads down there as well. It's not like we would be closing the DVP for another stupid marathon.
Hell, we could even get the organ donor people to sponsor it.

So looking at a map, Unwin Ave. from Polson around to the end of the spit, which I think is paved... Could run the whole thing out of the Docks, leaving most of Cherry open if we didn't use Commissioners. The parks could be set up with tents and there is even a helipad nearby for emergencies. Spectators could be all over the place, and people could bring boats around to watch as well. Maybe do it over two days and end the day with an SS bike trial.
With the airport there, we could have done an air race around the island as well, but commercial flights would break that, maybe over the water out past the beaches and back, we could have a Toronto Festival of Speed...
