Im think I will take the advice to go with the tailpack, the Kriega tail packs look really well designed so I think i'll give them a shot, the motorpack tankbags look decent for the price to so I think i'll grab one as well.

The painters tape reinforced with ducttape sounds liek a pretty good idea for the paint as well.

That is a serious amount of space. Are you planning to camp? If not, might be a bit overkill. I have the same roll and saddlebags, but find the roll to be plenty
