Speed camera update (Sept.11)

I suspect that if municipalities used a small number of speed cameras in actual problem areas with lots of speed-related crashes and pedestrian hits, and set reasonable enforcement thresholds to only get blatant violators, we wouldn't be having this discussion. But, they got greedy, and here we are.

I agree. Bonus points for using the speed when pedestrians were hit as the threshold for the camera. On Parkside, that would be set at >100 kph and I doubt a single person would complain.
 
The mayor is saying the people who removed the cameras are responsible if anyone gets hit or if an accident happens in the so-called camera areas
