Sourcing FZR400 Bits

I'm finally getting off my *** and putting together my project bike. Its a '89 FZR400. When I sold my race bike a few years back the buyer didn't want any of the spares. So faced with a large pile of spares including a frame (clean title), subframe, swingarm, 2 x engines, gas tanks, fuel pumps, couple sets of carbs, spare set of rims and tires, etc. I decided I had enough parts to make a complete bike. Well it turns out it ALMOST true, but I'm missing some small bits like rad hoses, bolts to hold the rear sets on, and other tiny bits. Yamaha dealer wants rather large sums for these things if they can get them. I've used bike bandit in the past, but does anyone know a cheaper/different place to source these smalls bits from?

Still have no clue what to do with this bike once its together.

Check if Brian P wants to sell some bits. He loves those bikes and has a couple of them.

Post a list of exactly what you need... I have a boatload of parts from an 1989 FZR600 - surely some of the parts are the same.

Will do, might take a few days to get a list together.

Spare rad hoses, I don't have. FZR600 rad hoses are different. But, you can probably go to NAPA with the diameter and measurements and find an automotive hose with some approximately correct bends in it that can be cut to the right shape. Use a coat hanger or some other bit of wire to follow the centerline of the hose that you want and use that as a template to match up to a hose at NAPA. Doesn't have to be exact.

While you are at it, you might as well track down an FZR600 rad and hoses to get some extra cooling capacity, these bikes need it.

Rearset bolts, I don't have a spare set but I think regular socket head cap screws will work.

I do have a few boxes of spare bits, post up a list and I'll check against what I have.

So after looking it over I'm missing or need replacements for the following

-Pipe off the water pump to cyclindar block
-Starter cover (mine is cracked)
-Fuel tank cover
-Chain guard
-Front spocket cover

The missing bolts I'll just find hardware store replacements. Found a FZR600 rad in my parts bin and a F3 rad as well. Have to test to see if they are good still.
