Sore Butt

I used an AirHawk on my trip and it worked pretty well. Use a bunch of baby powder all over your junk and crack and it makes a hell of a difference.

I have heard the idea of cyling shorts before.

Do they really help? I have never owned a pair, even when I used to bike regularly. Do they really make a difference on the motorcycle?

I find they make a difference. Over 9 hours last Sunday and I was fine. That said if you're looking into it buy a decent pair, not the cheapest pair. They're most costly but they make a huge difference.

There are also compression shorts with hip armor as well. I think the action is the compression not the padding. iCon has them.

Beadrider seat arrived today...sucker is heavier than I thought plus they dinged me with nearly $20 tax and handling fee. Will try it when the weather drys out.

Rode to the dragon, then next day to barber and back to the dragon (10hrs). Most days were up at 8 back to camp after midnight. Stops for gas, eating and bathroom. The day after getting back from Barber I could hardly walk...sitting was pure pain. At a motorcycle shop just before Cherohala (sp?) I came across chafe zone. The guy told me it was made for navy seals in their wet suits. Didnt believe a word of it, and figured I was wasting my money. But..I was desperate. Let me say, that 2 seconds after putting it on, it was heaven. Stuff doesnt numb or anything, but like the title says, it prevents chafing. I'm guessing its like monkey butt, but its a cream not a powder (never tried monkey butt powered).

I have a pretty hard MTB seat, and couldn't believe how some nice bicycle shorts changed the way it feels. Can ride all day now, so they should be awesome on a motorcycle.

Monkey Butt stuff is awesome.

The beadrider seems pretty good. Just took the bike for a little spin with it on. Yes it's slippier but not really that bad at all. You can definitely feel a difference when riding. Lets just say it's a bit airier. Doesn't seem to alter the height of my bike much and I'd notice it, my bike is already pretty tall. Will take it for a longer run maybe tomorrow.
