Somebody knocked my bike over in a parking lot

Isn't insurance great? You're forced to have it thanks to

, and then when you have something happen they charge you more to reclaim more money to cover what was lost.

Like a CV carburator there are always 2 opposing forces acting in concert. Before this new reality everybody was doing "insurance jobs" because the money pit seemed bottomless. I understand Bramptonians are doing their best to revive this classic and viable modality.
The oppressive new noise regulations and HTA 172 are reactions to the actions of a few who spoil it for the rest of us. Same with the insurance structure, whether auto or EI. I think it starts with throwing your garbage on the school bus floor because you can.

You sure about that? I had a hit and run on my car this winter, had to claim as the damage was quite a bit. I needed to go to a police reporting centre and have pics taken etc and I called insurance to double check the procedure and see if rates would change. My rates didn't change but I did have to pay the deductible and this is a not at fault claim.

I've had a friend pay overall +$2500 insurance over a $1800 claim. Depends on the insurer, I guess.

BUT,

With all the high -tech farkle bullsh-t in the bike industry, you would think someone would take this common problem seriously, like some kind of deployable catch bars or airbags that spring out when a tilt angle is achieved while not moving. Or, someone make a better side stand, as bike stands have actually gotten worse in the last 80 years.

Bike manufacturers design bikes to tip easily, and cost more and more after they tip.
