I donated the nominal fee to be a supporter quite a while back, but my status never got upgraded. It's not a big deal, but is this something that needs to be asked for or should it happen automatically after donation? Is the status permanently granted or does it need to be renewed?

As per GTAM rules, to attain Site Supporter status, you also need to make a blood sacrifice to Akro-Po-Veecha, the ancient god of Those Who Wail In The Dark On The Highway Of Madness. Do this and only then may He deign you entry to the Naming Ceremony of Old.
