Decided to try Chrome just in case, no extensions.... and well.

It eventually loaded, and wow the amount of ads is something. Some of them are very spammy and not encouraging, if your bounce rate is high, this might be a reason. Maybe a rethink might be in order, and it's possible some of these ads might be part of the slowdown issues.

I normally use Firefox with ad blocker, which strips out most of that garbage. Sorry for being harsh but honestly if I had the full experience from the beginning I might not be around here.

On the flipside, loading the full-ad version probably generated more money for CK in 10 seconds than the ad-blocked version does in a week.

Well that great, but might not be worth it if no one is around to see that...

Now the site seems to be working as normal, for now

The only other site I get jammed up on and is generally this slow is advrider.com, dunno` why. It is consistent, GTA is hit/miss.

Just went over to ADVrider, (I was on there yesterday reading about something) works perfectly fine. I'm not even a member/user over there.
 
I guess now GTAM knows the future?! Its only 9 am, and well...

Has anything been done?

It was better, as you would expect, but noticed more recently things have gone sluggish again. No where near like before, but there are some delays accessing pages, like a few secs, then sometimes there are not, and all is good.
