Similar but cheaper camera like GoPro?

Polaroid is going on $30 off sale from canadian tire starting 26th. So the top end model XS100 (I think, cdn tire flyer doesn't specify model, but looks like XS100) is $129.99

Does anyone know anyone with the Polaroid XS100 that can give a first hand review of how good it is?

Please let me know!

Gonna look into the Polaroid some more. HAve a Her2 already, but it would be cool to have multiple angles.
The Polaroid is on sale at Canadian Tire, and I have piles of Canadian Tire money as well.

Not 100% what you are looking for, but close enough...

Just so we know Canadian Tire is selling the XS80 not 100 for 129.99 a older model but still a good camera

I just bought the xs100 this morning for 129.99 @ canadian tire. ($146.xx) taxes in

30 days to return it unopened, no exchanges. I'm debating whether i should keep it or send it back.

Ps - I got the only model the store had, and I was there first thing this morning on the way to work.

They may have both models under the same sku as they only list one model on website.

I converted my Drift over to use GoPro mounts :)

Put a gopro mount on the tail of my bike, now I got front and rear covered. Just gotta work on that funky lens rotation now, first video was upside down and sideways, second video was upside down so I rotated it 180 degrees so hopefully it's perfect now :)

wowo really? I never knew canadian tire had that type of policy

Just in case anyone gets a Drift and was having the same problems as me... There's an arrow on the lens bezel. As long as the arrow is pointing up when the camera is mounted, your video will come out the right way ;)

Nope the product number on the link u supplied gave me the sx80 I will be returning mine as I wanted the sx100

I just checked the product #, and you are right.
Did you leave this review online??

""Model shown XS100, model received XS80… My research and decision to purchase was based on the newer model as it features many enhancements that I was looking for and made it a deal, it was a challenge to find much info about the XS80 even on Polaroid’s site and took some extensive digging to locate. Since CT did not provide a model number and their description was vague I did not suspect I’d receive the lesser of the two, was not until I looked at the box that reality set in.Gave the XS80 a go even though it was apparent I’d not be happy without those added features that drove me to buy, the XS100 has extra video resolution settings, wider angle lens (170 vs 120) and includes a handle bar mount that is not included in the XS80 packaging… The latter did include an 8GB MicroSD card whereas the XS100 does not come with one. Overall the unit performed well with video quality being decent and even the photos were more than acceptable, build quality was good although it is an all plastic design.
In the end the unit was returned since $30 more would get me the newest model incorporating those extras I wanted and something that definitely makes spending that little more worthwhile.""

THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP. I would have never noticed. Sneaky Bas&*ds!

No that was not me, but he/she took the words right out of my mouth...

The GoPro Hero 2 Motorsports edition is being cleared out for $199 at BestBuy:

Also comes with the wifi bacpac and remote.
Nice! I bought the Hero2 on the Battery BacPack + SD card deal they had. I reserved it online and when I went to pick it up they asked if I wanted the battery bacpack or SD card, if not they could just subtract them off the price! Hero2 naked for $162!!!

You could give it a try for this deal, if you wanted just the Hero2.
