Trying to get in a last minute trip to Deals gap and tires are more worn than I feel comfortable riding on. Hoping to get a set of tires mounted first thing tomorrow morning, or ideally today (long shot). Everyone is closed today so can't get in contact with anyone.

Asking on the off chance that someone knows

Thanks Gary! Surprisingly they do have tires in stock, but I would rather not install them myself. I can do it, just butcher the crap out of the rim.
 
Improvise, adapt, overcome ? ride safe.

put some plastic between your rim and the iron.
 
I have rim protectors. After changing 3-4 sets now, I'm ok to admit to myself that I'm just not great at it.
