Sheet metal work or pvc...

I want to change the windshield from Pic1 to Pic2, I need to replicate the black piece that connect the windshield. Pic 3 is a whole piece that the new connector would be fitted to.

The connector in pic1 is plastic or pvc, I thought metal would be better I'm not sure but pvc would work too. Also I would like to add the back cover... I'm not sure what's the best way to do that.

Any suggestions guys?

You can get abs sheet or kydex sheet on amazon or ebay , it is easy to work with , and you can just warm it up and put bends in if needed. It also usually has a texture to it that would look good .
