I always wanted a 600CC but after my recent encounter with a 50cc scooter kind of changed things. I rented the scooter while vacationing in Varadero. My top speed was 60km/h and both wife and I were on the scooter (235 lbs total passenger + rider). I filled the tank with 3 pesos and roamed around for 3 hours. The tank barely lost a litre haha.

Am I silly for wanting one? I would want it to be 100/150cc though.

This is what I rode in Varadero

Depends on what you want it for, for riding to work or cruising around the city they are fine. If you want to go longer distance look for a larger model or a motorcycle. Scooters have come a long way and are a great mode of transportation.

The Yamaha BWS 125 is amazing, so many parts available too. Easily tuned up :)

One of 4 scooter we have around the house with multiple motorcycles. The Yamaha 125 BWs (Zuma) is a great urban raider and capable of anything TO roads can throw at it except the 400 series. Small fuel tank and storage area are its limiting factor. Ways around it though. Very flickable. There are also larger bore kits/pipes etc to boost its performance but reliability goes down hill.

+1 can handle the Gardiner though :p

&& the BBK 155 kit is the only good one out there pretty much.

Buddy of mine has a 150cc scoot and has hit 110 km/h on it, albeit downhill. On flat road he'll hit 80 - 90. If you liked the 50cc and don't plan on taking highways go for it.

Honda has a nice looking PCX150cc

Couples on scooters are sooo cute

Sent from my tablet using my paws

That Honda pcx scooter is nice. Just an FYI, a couple will look good on anything as long they are good themselves!

I like how you have a storage in the scooters, where you can put small stuff etc. 600CC bikes dont have that, do they? Plus the scoots are so cheap to buy and maintain!
