Saw a 2014 Honda CTX today... Pretty cool...

So, I went into KW Honda today to get some gaskets for my 1981 Honda CB 750 Custom. I had a great service experience there btw in getting the parts ordered through picking them up.

They are busy renovating their dealership. If you have never seen a mint CBX they have one.

They also have a mint, original late 1970s Goldwing without all the luggage (remember those)?

While they had already sold their CB 1100 they had pretty much anything else that might interest you. CBR 250s, the new CB 500s, NC 700 s and x (both 2012 and 2013). The also had a 2014 CTX on the floor. I was not sure what to make of it from what I saw in magazines but the bike looks really good in the showroom. They are planning a demo day for late July. If I can get some time on a CTX I would love to try one. :)

They also had a used Valyrie which was quite the ride. New Fury and Goldwing F6B which were pretty neat rides.

Anyone else find the CTX an intriguing bike?

The bicycle tires a are a bit of a turn off. The body looks cool enough. I'm going to bet discontinued before first round production even finishes. I'm sure we'll see a few white knuckled mid-life crisis guys that couldn't afford a Harley on them sometimes. It's not exactly what someone who already enjoys riding would want though. Even Honda admits it's for people a bit on the fence about riding. The pictures I've seen with fairings look like something that should never see the light of day.

Pretty sure my supervisor has one of those CBX's. Just sits in his garage. Told me that syncing 6 carbs is a pain in the ***.

The naked version looks like a very attractive option for newbies - low seat height, optional DCT, ABS. I would love to demo one as well.

I like it, a cruiser that's not afraid to look modern. Less fuel range and less suspension travel than the NC700s though. Price is probably in a similar range too.

For those of you who don't know how awesome the CBX is

Bicycle tires? Is that aimed at the ctx? Those tires are more then big enough what bike are you even looking at?

Slow down brother.
