Why you ask?

I ask because we are mostly "Starving Students" and while bikes are a good, fun and economical mode of transport both within the city and commuting, They can be expensive in certain situations.

last summer I found myself doing all the repairs I could do on my own to my bike because mechanics blow their prices right out of the park for basic work

Chain: $150

Oil: $100

Valves: $350

Fork oil: $300

Coolant: $80

So if we could co-opt when one of us needs work done and do it ourselves, wouldn't that be awesome?

I rolled my bike into the Ryerson Aero Design team's room in the Kerr Hall basement for all my work last summer.

I would be down to do it again anytime after our competition in April, for anyone who needs the space/tools.

I am having all sorts of dreams about what kind of tools they have there.

Work all summer and part time during the fall and winter and you wont be broke or starving. Downside will be little to no social outing but upside is money and good grades. Living in res is no excuse to be broke. Students chose this route and use being broke as an excuse for free ****. Apply for osap if you cant afford tuition.

That said. I can help you with most bike work as i have invested some money on tools. Just bring your manual and ill teach you how to wrench.

Tuition is a lot of money. But what you say is mostly true, that would be great sometime, right now it looks like the carbs have to come off

Not back on two yet. Sounds like someone up on the 13th floor is trying to arrange a Ryerson ride. If I hear more, I'll pass it on.

Where do you guys hang out? I live right beside Ryerson, so let me know when you guys ride and I'll come along.

You may want to edit your post.

Why? Are people that afraid of their bike getting stolen? If someone wanted to steal a bike, he could go to any condo's underground garage and take his pick. I don't think he needs to follow GTAM in the hopes of finding the location of a bike to steal.

I just saw a cbr125 in a state of disrepair on campus that's why.

What is the benefit to being accredited by the school as a club? I'm not trying to **** on the idea, I'm just wondering, why go thru the hassle of having to get a set number of people and collect the fee for non-members etc.

Not planning to officially associate within the school
