Roll Call GB May 10 (SOAR or Track Days)

Anyone have the contact info of the photographer that was out there yesterday?

Look at my signature, I'm pretty sure it was them. Only noticed at the end of the day

Yellow duc I was behind you on the first session and was waiting to pass you on the straight to not spook you but then Tayler "stock it to you" on the corner so I said oh well corner it is :)

For the record I was 100% comfortable with all of the passing - on the straights, in the corners, it was all fine. Fun even. Gives me a chance to follow someone faster and learn some lines, at least for the 12 s or so until they disappear over the horizon...

Great time out yesterday

Pitted next to Curtis and Dylan from SOAR, and gave me some inspiration for signing up for SOAR. Nice to meet you guys!

Small high side in yellow group in the afternoon, but Thomas walked away un harmed.

Can't wait to get back from Peru to get more seat time!

Some good riders out yesterday. All in all, SOAR runs a great track day! I was expecting a hick up or too, but everything went very smooth.

Change in plans!

I somehow did not realize that RACE round 1 and SOAR Test were the same weekend and now I have obligations in London Saturday evening.

So I hope to ride at Grand Bend on Saturday then head out to Shannonville very early Sunday morning. I'll miss qualifying but that just makes it a bigger challenge.

Nice work at SMP today, Tim!

My daughter was taking some pictures,,PM me or bickleracing@sympatico.ca is best with your number and we'll see what she got.
Probably one of the best weekends I've ever seen at Grand Bend,,Sunday was the best day!

Major eye opener seeing the bit that I did. You are all nuts but that looks like a ton of fun. Morrisey your track bike is killer looking. Love it

Thanks!! With more time I could have made some set up changes, but I will for CSBK.

BRAAAAP!!!!

Yep good job especially for just showing up, there were some seriously fast guys out there this weekend. I hope I'll be there for the CSBK round, I'll be looking for ya because I may be all alone and lonely.

Do you have any feedback on the new pavement? Anything exciting to watch out for (I haven't been there since Sept 2012)?

Agreed. Lanni, who I have usually been faster than at SMP, was railing pretty good this weekend. Between a few small bike tweaks and some larger mental tweaks I know I could drop about two seconds on Pro Track.

Honestly it's pretty good! I can only comment on the new Pro Track pavement which is Turn 1, hairpin and 1st half of the chicane but it's good. There is a small drop at the transition into turn 1 but it is early enough that it doesn't really affect anything. Nothing to look out for.

Here are some laps from red group first session after lunch on Saturday. Unfortunately it ends with my oil cooler failing...

If you were out there you almost certainly passed me at some point in this video. ;) Who is the character who wheelies past me at 0:43?

Before anyone else says it...yes I realize that I should have exited the track *much* sooner when I realized I had a leak. It is just dumb luck that the leak wasn't bad enough to put any significant amount of oil on the track. I guess I spent those 10 s or so trying to figure out if I should try to get back to the pits or not, but obviously in retrospect that was pretty stupid to even consider. I apologize.

I now know that you knew but I didn't know that you knew at the time. Now I know you were knowingly pulling off the track, had I known then what I now know I wouldn't have signaled you off like that. Not knowing what I now know I thought you might have kept going.

Also, I like that bike.

Thanks. I am glad that I now know that you didn't know that I knew.

Seriously, thanks for taking it upon yourself to try to communicate it to me at the time.

I think 4B and 6A on long track will still give you pause.
