Rock The Gear

What about those denim reinforced kevlar pants/jeans wonder how well those would hold up in a wipe out

Just a bit better than regular jeans. I wear mine with a seperate knee/shin guards as the soft ones that come with those types of jeans aren't very good. Same with my textile pants, I remove the soft padding and wear seperate knee/shin guards.

I have nothing against doing what ever you want.

It's just sad to see misinformed people. I learned all my childhood what it means to spill of a bicycle (<20KM/h) and a few years latter off a 50CC bike. By the time I was in my 20s when I went off my SMC, I knew enough to save my knees.

Pick the riding you actually do and get gear that works. If your not already signed to a motogp team, there are a lot of options in textile that are very safe and some solid deals in leathers. I have a set of leathers that are slightly large, its not for any track riding ever but I can have shorts and T shirt underneath and meet friends on a patio and not melt. I wont buy branded leathers ie. HONDA on the back unless Honda will pay me (so I have none) and Fashion comes and goes, so pick a simple set and enjoy.

I'm happy to display Yamaha on my leathers... same with my Dodge ram, I'd gladly wear a Dodge shirt or sweater because I love my truck. Nothing wrong with advertising for something you love and are passionate about! :D I got a SUPER good deal on my leathers too... $100 .... it was almost too good to be true, showed up, tried em on, fit a little snug when standing up but perfect when hunched over on the bike. I have a textile jacket as well but still need to pick up some good pants. I've been using dickies heavy duty work pants, they held up great on a low side at 20km/h! :D

When i have start the motorbike racing so i have wear leather suit with protectors, back and chest protector, elbow and knee pads, leather gloves and good shoes for their body. It's very comfortable and pretty good work. I have no problem and no injury in the racing time.
Spammer has been reported. I wouldn't trust anything from that link.
