Roadside Assistant for motorcycle?

This might be a little late, but I was volunteering at Ribfest this year today, turns out they have a CAA booth there selling memberships.

One year for CAA+ is around 80 I was told, while I got the CAA+ for 2 people for $139.50 all-in, for one year. If you want 2 people for basic they have the sign up for $99.

I don't have a CAA membership yet but that's on my list for this week. I remember driving from Red Deer, Alberta back to Toronto in January and my battery died when i stayed overnight in Winnipeg at a hotel, luckily the guy working at the front desk of the hotel let me use his CAA card. Definitely worth the money

Costco Elite Roadside Assistance is 62.99/year and covers motorcycles

Oh wow, now that seems like a good deal. I've got CostCo membership thanks to my brother (who works there), so thanks for the tip!

Wow, I can't believe nobody mentioned the AMA. They are a massive organization and only $49 a year for service.

they cover all your cars, bikes, RVs, trailers.

Unlimited service calls. We have several trucks in our fleet, along with 2 cars, a trailer and a moto. The CAA package was extremely frustrating with their limited number of calls. Screw them.

American based, and they service Canada and Puerto Rico. I've had them for 3 years now, and I've used their services in Canada with no problems. Great to know I will be covered in US when I take those types of trips.

There are some limitations tho

Towing services are covered up to 35 miles to the nearest qualified service facility (or to any other location requested by the member of equal distance at no expense to the member). If over 35 miles, the member is only responsible for the overages incurred after the 35-miles coverage

Only one service call for the same service type within seven days

Example: One tow per seven days, one lockout per seven days, one jumpstart per seven days, etc.
Member can have more than one service call within a seven-day period, but it cannot be the same service.

Both of those would have cost me more in Pennsylvania than the CAA plus or Premiere.

I'd say it's okay for the urban rider but not for the touring or adventure rider.

Costco deal is better, assuming you have membership.
Not without reading the fine print...got a link?

Welllll... I found the screw-you loophole. Costco elite only covers vehicles that are 18 years old or younger. So much for my 1986 bike.

Of course I found out AFTER buying the coverage (it's actually $69, so it's just about $80 after tax - still not a bad price) and even after going through the registration process. They called me back after the fact to say no way. Not the store, not even the woman doing the registration had any problem at first.

Oh well. Now I get to drag my *** back to Costco tomorrow to get this damned thing refunded.
